Sizing- The Rolled Raglan Light is designed to be worn oversized, based on your personal preference of positive ease. Choose a size based on how oversized you’d prefer, ideally 8 - 15”/ 20 - 37.5 cm of ease. The sample is a size 2 and is worn with 10”/ 25 cm of positive ease.

Gauge- 22 stitches x 34 rows in stockinette on 3.5 mm (US 4) needle or needle size needed to meet gauge in 4”x 4”/ 10 cm

Construction-
This is a raglan style sweater that is worked top down. First the collar is knit in stockinette to create the rolled neckline, then German short rows are worked to shape the neckline. The raglan increases continue to create the yoke. Additional rows are knit in the back before splitting for the sleeves to raise the back. You’ll then knit the body and then the sleeves. The cuffs and body are finished with 3x1 ribbing with a rolled hem to complement the raglan details and the rolled collar.

Needles-
3.5 mm (US 4) 20”/ 50 cm circular needle, 32”/ 80 cm circular needle, or size needed for gauge. Used for the body and sleeves

3 mm (US 2.5) 32”/ 80 cm circular needle, or two US sizes smaller than gauge needle. Used for body and cuff ribbing (using magic loop for the cuff)

Yarn- Kelbourne Woolens Scout (100% wool, Dk weight) 274 yards (250 meters)/ 100 grams held single. 4 (5) 5 (5) 6 (6) 6 skeins or 1012 (1151) 1242 (1350) 1418 (1473) 1560 yards/ 926 (1053) 1136 (1235) 1297 (1347) 1427 meters of DK weight wool.

Techniques used-
Long tail cast on, knitting in the round, German short row shaping, M1R/M1L increases, M1RP/M1LP increases, backwards loop cast on, SSK/K2TOG decreases, picking up stitches, resting stitches on a cable and 3x1 ribbing.

The sample is a size 2 worn with 10” of positive ease. Knit with Kelbourne Woolens Scout in the color Charcoal Heather.
