Named after one of the most historically significant cities in the world, the Roma hat design lends itself to the ancient architecture that can be found around the city wherever you look. The single dc rows create columns across the hat and the double crochet ‘v’ stitches look like roman numerals.

Pattern:
The pattern consists of two rounds: A round of double crochet stitches with a skipped chain between each stitch and a round of v stitches. The v stitches are created when two double crochet stitches are made into the same chain. This creates a lacey effect and a quick, one skein project as a result!

3.5mm crochet hook.
Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply in Pebble. 50 (65, 80g). 366m per 100g. 1 skein.

Pom Pom maker.

Gauge:
10 v stitches and 10 rows of pattern per 10cm (4in) tension square after blocking.
