This pattern has all the details you need to make yourself a cute little Roman Soldier. You can choose between three different versions of armour to give him different looks, and you can make him a helmet, sword and cloak. Version 1 has brown leather armour, version 2 has silver-grey armour and version 3 has gold-coloured armour.

He would be perfect to make for anyone who has an interest in Roman history, or who loved Rory from Doctor Who in his Last Centurion persona.

The pattern is suitable for crocheters with a little experience. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives.
