I created this blanket for my Great Nephew Roman. I wanted to make something unique just for him. I searched through many different patterns and as I did; an image started coming to mind and this blanket idea sprang into existence.

You can make this darling whale baby blanket for that special little one that you know. This blanket uses a combination of regular sc rows, sc graph rows, and dc chevron rows. Just by changing the color of the whale and chevron stripes you can make this to match any little one’s décor.

The following skills and knowledge are needed for this pattern; working a chevron pattern, graphgan work, switching between colors, carrying color changes up the side and basic crochet stitches.
