romney button-up neck wrap
by Sue Burke
a very easy knitting pattern designed by Sue Burke for our Romney yarn, this is perfect when you want some warmth around your neck without the bulk of a longer scarf. It rolls or folds up nicely to tuck into a pocket or bag so it’s especially great for travel. The stitch is sometimes called a “mistake rib,” with wide and deep rounded ribs that fold softly at the neck—quick to knit and a very nice gift.
Yarn: one skein Solitude semi-worsted spun Romney, aran weight
Sizes: one size fits all
Skills: knitting, purling, simple crochet chain stitch
Level of difficulty: easy
Needles: Size 8 (US) / 5 mm straight needles; size G / 6 or 7 mm crochet hook
