Mittens are a fantastic beginner project for those who are looking for an added challenge over the traditional scarf or hat. Mittens incorporate a number of techniques that every beginner knitter should learn, including knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, as well as increasing and decreasing. This particular pattern also includes basic colour work.

To adjust from women’s to men’s sizing, simply go up one needle size (marked in parentheses).

Colours used in this pattern to achieve that “Classic Roots” look include:

  • Dark Grey Marl (1 skein) - Patons Classic Wool Worsted Yarn
  • Winter White (1 skein) - Patons Classic Wool Worsted Yarn
  • Bright Red (1 skein) - Patons Classic Wool Worsted Yarn
