This design was created specifically for using soft #4 yarn with the carriage set at the upper end of the stitch dial on mid-gauge hobby machines. Target gauge is 4 stitches/6 rows/inch in stockinette. If that is done, a 12” square pillow will result. The same design including stitch and row counts may be used on a bulky machine at a smaller stitch size. The size will be the same but the cables will be harder to cross because the needles are farther apart. It is do-able, however. The design may be made on a standard gauge machine. If a #2 yarn getting 6.75 stitches at
the upper end of the stitch dial is used, the standard gauge version will come out about 7”.

No ribber or patterning required. Everything  is hand manipulated.
