When my Nanna wished to express that something might not be quite up to scratch, she would say that it was a bit “ropey”. This skirt went through two prototypes before it was right, and the first one was definitely ropey in terms of fit. But now the ropeyness is 100% supplied by the knotwork and cables :)

Wear with tights and boots in cold weather or with a light tank top or blouse when it’s warm.

Sample uses Skeinz New Zealand’s gorgeous Heritage Silver Lining yarn (Rare Breed Merino) knit in the colour Clearview Blue. This yarn is recommended but not essential - however your yardage may vary if you choose a different yarn.

If you are new to cables it might be a good idea for you to knit a few swatches from the charts before beginning the skirt (please note the charts and stitch table are written for in-the-round knitting).

Written and charted instructions included.
Sizes: womens S (M, L, XL) to fit approx 26” (30”, 34”, 38”) waist
