An elegant, academic style sock with a simple mock cable.

While inspired by the classic look of cables and a love for Gilmore Girls, this mock cable is simple, easy to follow and get the hang of. This mock cable in no way restricts the expected stretch from a ribbed sock.

Sizes: XXS-Child, XS, S, M, L, XL (5”, 6”, 7”, 8”, 9”, 10” foot circumference)

Gauge: 19 sts x 23 rows = 2” x 2” in mock cable pattern

Needles: US 1/2.25 mm DPNs, 9” circulars or 32” circulars for magic loop

Fingering weight sock yarn is recommended, you will only need one 100 gram skein for most sizes. You may need more for the larger sizes depending on the length you choose to make the leg. Do not forget, you can always include a contrast color for cuffs, heels and toes. This is a stretchy sock and the mock cable is in no way restricting.
