This pattern was tested and is written in English only, using US terms. There are three help videos linked in the pattern to help with face shaping and creating rounds 3 and 4 of the feet. Those two rounds are basically repeated down the foot to create the special shaping. This pattern is 34 pages long with a printer friendly version included. However, I HIGHLY recommend using the full version - the printer friendly version has all photos removed and some text altered, simplified, or removed. Some parts will require you to look at the full version photos in order to grasp what needs to be done.

About -
This sea otter was specially made to be able to sit and lay. The tail is not sewn on - giving it extra stability when sitting. This pattern has minimal sewing and includes the fish and otter instruction. When choosing what magnets will work best for your project, keep in mind that your yarn thickness plays a key role. If you use bulky yarn, your magnets may not be able to magnetize through the hands and the accessories. The otter currently has magnets in its two hands, and the clam has one magnet on each side of the shells. The fish uses two magnets, one for each side of the body.

This otter is 8.5 inches tall when sitting, and 1 foot long when laying. Each foot is specially made. Each foot is all one piece, and the little toes are created as you are crocheting. You do not have to sew the lines on the toes. For the otter, the muzzle is made as one piece. It is then sewn onto the face. The ears and the feet are the only other pieces sewn onto the otter. The fish does not need much sewing - only the top fin needs sewn. The clam does not need any sewing.
