ABOUT THE ROSALINDTEE

The Rosalindtee is a variation of the Rosalindsweater, meaning a short raglan shirt that goes well with high-waisted pants and skirts. The shirt is worked top down in a broken double rib pattern with wide raglanlines, that accentuate the stitch beautifully. The collar is knitted in pattern stitch and folded over, then the neckline is formed using short rows whilst working the raglan increases at the same time.
You can choose between two lengths.

SIZE GUIDE

The Rosalindtee is designed to have a positive ease of about 4-16 cm in relation to the bust circumference depending on your preferred width.
The sizes are meant to fit (size/made to fit a bust circumference of…):
XXS/75-80 (XS/80-85) S/85-90 (M/90-95) L/95-100 (XL/100-105) 2XL/105-115 (3XL/115- 125) 4XL/125-135 (5XL/135-145).
Measurements of the finished shirt after washing (bust circumference): 84 (92) 96 (104) 108 (116) 120 (132) 140 (148) cm.
Decide on the basis of this information which size is right for you.
You can also decide between two lengths: Choose length A if you like a rather cropped shirt, length B if you prefer a regular length. Since the shirt is worked from the top down it can be tried on during the knitting process so that the length can be adjusted to your needs.

MATERIALS
The shirt is knitted with one strand of Line from Sandnes (50g/110m):

  • For length A you need 500 (550) 600 (660) 700 (780) 880 (1000) 1140 (1270) m yarn. That corresponds to about 250 (300) 300 (350) 350 (400) 450 (500) 550 (600) g of Sandnes Line.

  • For length B you need 600 (670) 730 (800) 840 (930) 1040 (1170) 1320 (1460) m of yarn. That corresponds to about 300 (350) 350 (400) 400 (450) 500 (550) 600 (700) g of Sandnes Line.

GAUGE
10x10cm = 20 stitches x 32 rows on 4 mm needles knitted in broken double rib pattern (after washing).
ATTENTION: It is important to measure the gauge after washing, as it will still widen slightly during washing due to the rib pattern.

NEEDLES
4 mm circular needles (40 cm and 80-100cm), 4 mm double pointed needles (unless you’re using the magic loop method).
