Rosaret Beret
This chic beret looks simple but has plenty to hold the knitter’s interest. Beginning with a mix of the alternate cable cast on and the simple cable cast on, the brim is worked in 1x1 twisted rib interspersed with knit cables that resemble the twisting stems of a climbing rose. The rib and cables in the brim work beautifully into a wider offset cable motif, which fades gently into the reverse stockinette crown. The sample is worked in a beautiful sport weight yarn, but the pattern is easily adapted for lighter or heavier yarns simply by adding or removing repeats or by adjusting your needle size.
