This cozy, textured hat has super insulating powers and will keep you toasty warm. A simple combination of knits, purls, and slipped stitches, the Waffle Rib stitch creates delicious texture and thickness for a comfortable and sophisticated look that any knitter can achieve.

Roscoe’s Toque is knit in the round from the brim, with optional pompom.

Substitution Notes
Look for a Bulky weight yarn meant to knit up at 3-3.75 sts = 1” (2.5 cm) on 6-8mm (US 10-11) needles. A lofty wool or wool blend makes a great choice. Two strands of a sport weight yarn held together would probably work, but you would need to swatch to be sure.
