A cozy-warm afghan is embellished with roses for luxury. Diamonds, marked off with popcorn puffs, alternate in stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch. Twisted-spiral roses are embroidered in the challenging bullion stitch. Afghan: 48” x 56”; pillow (back is plain): 20” square.

Materials: Columbia-Minerva Nantuk 4-Ply, 15 4-oz. skeins Winter White (W). For Embroidery (afghan and pillow): 1 skein each of Scarlet, Imperial Blue, Kelly Green. Knitting needles No. 13. Crochet hook size I. Tapestry needle.
