Rose City pullover
The Rose City Pullover is a seamless top-down sweater featuring a beautifully stranded rose motif across the yoke. Inspired by Portland—affectionately known as the City of Roses—this design captures the charm and creative spirit of its namesake city. The sweater begins at the neckband and is worked in the round with a circular yoke construction. The stranded colorwork incorporates the yoke increases into the rose pattern, creating a smooth, uninterrupted design.
Once the yoke is complete, the sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and finished individually. Subtle short rows shape the back for a comfortable and flattering fit.
For the best results, choose two colors with strong contrast to let the roses bloom in full detail. The Rose City pullover is worked in DK weight yarn but you can also knit it by holding one strand of fingering weight yarn together with a strand of silk mohair.
