I came up with the idea of creating a series of winter accessories inspired by the characters in the TV show The Golden Girls. These pieces - a cowl and a beanie - are inspired by Rose Nylund, who I see as being bright, bubbly, optimistic, and from Minnesota. These pieces are warm and snuggly, ready for the cold winters, while popping with colour and fun. The bobbles create a delightful textural aspect, and they’re so fun to play with. I even like how the inside looks! These are fun and cheery pieces which should brighten up your wardrobe on even the greyest winter days.

The pattern comes with a full photo tutorial and written instructions and is for beginner to intermediate crocheters. I used about half of one ball of each colour for the rainbow set (100g balls of Cleckheaton California in Butter Cream and Circus), around half a cake of the Lincraft Cakes (200g, in Lovely Lilac and Mint Fairy), and just over two balls of the Noro Silk Garden Lite (50g each).
