This isn’t the way these pattern blurbs are supposed to go, but I have to admit that these mitts would be a much quicker knit, if it wasn’t for the fact that their gorgeous thorn stitch patterning is full of slipped stitches! Ha!

However, as Anne Bronte reminds us in the quotation above, we can’t have the beautiful mitts without the thorns, and joking aside, the thorn stitch is an enjoyable pattern to knit and makes for a wonderfully cosy pair of mitts.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The Rose Thorn mitts are knitted in the round, from the cuff upwards. Increases are made for the thumb, with the stitches being placed on hold and worked when the hand is complete.
