Inspired by the great North Rose Window of Notre Dame, the Rose Window Shawlette is a classically beautiful design containing the vibrant colors that reflect light in our favorite rose cathedral window. I created a tweed blend using Bre-Aly Cotton Threads, and combined with Brenda’s 3-ply Solid, your knitting results in a lovely, stranded shawlette that beautifully shows off the panes and arches of the stained glass design. Because it is knit with cotton, the Rose Window Shawlette is perfect for wear in all climates and all seasons. The piece is ¾ of a full circle, so it stay on your shoulders and won’t easily slip off as ½-circle shawls do.
