The Rosebud Ruffle Sweater is a soft, romantic pullover for little girls, finished with double ruffles that frame the front like petals. The smooth stockinette body and gently puffed sleeves let the ruffles take centre stage, while the neat i-cord neckline gives the sweater a polished, boutique look.

Knit it in a fluffy brushed yarn for a dreamy halo, or in soft merino for a crisp, classic finish.

CONSTRUCTION
The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in one piece. A short-row neckline raises the back of the neck for a comfortable fit, and the raglan yoke is shaped with decorative yarn-over increases. After the yoke is divided, the body and sleeves are worked in the round and finished with 1×1 ribbing. The double ruffles are knit separately, flat, with short rows, and sewn on invisibly.

80/86, 92/98, 104/110, 116/122, 128/134, 140/146 cm height (approx. 1–11 years).
Finished chest: 52 (58, 62, 68, 72, 76) cm.

SKILL LEVEL
Intermediate. You should be comfortable with knitting in the round, yarn-over increases, short rows (wrap & turn), a provisional crochet-chain cast-on, picking up stitches, the i-cord bind-off and grafting. Every technique is explained step by step with photos.

• 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles, 40 cm and 80–100 cm cable
• 3.0 mm (US 2.5) needles for the ruffles
• 3.5 or 4.0 mm crochet hook and waste yarn
• Stitch markers (incl. 2 removable), tapestry needle
