ROSEHALL - a design from some years back. A jumper in Shetland wool with a beautiful Fair Isle pattern in stocking stitch worked from chart. The sleeves are spacious drop-shoulder sleeves, worked top down. The ribbing and neckline are in Fair Isle rib, the special so-called corrugated rib. The yoke can be worked in rounds or flat - both methods are described in detail.
A fascinating piece of knitting. Suitable for both ladies and gents.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 5.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.
Yarn: this design applies for a 2ply Jumper Weignt wool, 25 g = ca. 115 meters. To use 425 - 600 - 700 g divided in 5 colours.
Measurements of the garment:
Bust/Chest: 104 cm - 114 cm - 124 cm (in: 41 - 45 - 48.75)
Length: 62 cm - 64 cm - 66 cm (in: 24.5 - 25.25 - 26)
The original model was made in a Shetland wool which is not available anymore but it was similar to 2ply Jumper Weight Shetland Wool, 100 % wool from Jamieson and Smith, Lerwick, Shetland Isles. This wool I recommend for this design.
