The Roselyn Motif was inspired by motifs one could find on old cottages or furniture. Wood panels with intricate carvings and paintings of floral designs inlaid or added for decorative touches.

The pattern is done in the overlay mosaic technique and uses US terms and measurements and includes both written instructions and a chart of each section.

The pattern is 48 + 3 stitches. The 48 stitches are the repeated pattern and the +3 include beginning and end border stitch plus the end stitch (49th stitch).
