My family really likes berries of all kinds. With spring comes farmer’s market finds, and we take advantage of local strawberries, blackberries and blueberries whenever we can. For this collection of shawls, Berries In Spring, I found yarns just right to reflect the colors of those delicious fresh berries.

Rosenbury
A right-triangle shawl, Rosenbury is knitted sideways from the right tip. The easy lace is shaped using the same technique featured in my Arena pattern, producing a stepped pattern which bisects the shawl. You may choose to work the lace either from charts or the full written instructions.

The shawl can be made any size you wish, and is suitable for any yarn weight up to aran. Be sure to adjust your yarn requirements when substituting yarn.

Materials used for sample (weighs 128g):
Quince and Co. Tern
3 skeins Syrah
a row counter is helpful for this pattern

Acknowledgements:
The lace contains elements from a stitch pattern found in the Barbara Walker Treasuries.
