KIT available at ARTFIL Yarn
Roses are not red is a classic triangular shaped shawl, packed with joy! It combines three different knitting technics with the excitement of blending and fading colors. This project will keep your interest from the beginning to the end.
It is designed to put into use your leftover fade project yarns and that special Ombré or gradient ball of yarn you bought and still don’t know what to do with it. Although the shawl was knitted with 3 colors for the first portion and 1 ball of gradient yarn for the border panel, you can use only one color for the first portion.
It starts with an easy and relaxing stockinette, some garter and easy eyelet portions, going through a basic two-color brioche and finishing with lovely and easy to knit lace panel.
Perfect summer shawl, covering your shoulders, it will drape in a way which is very pleasing to the eye.
I hope you enjoy knitting it!

The lace bind-off is straight, it has no ‘edges’ to block it, the best way is to use wires. The center stitch column is straight to the end of the brioche section, the lace has no defined center stitch and it’s center line follows the wave of the lace.
