Rosette Ombre Beanie
You’ll need half a skein each, of two different Chroma Fingering colours. Shown in Tiki and Pegasus. These two colours could form a much different variation as well, since not all the colours get used in one hat. If two colours end up lining up that don’t work together, just cut one of them out and rejoin the yarn! save it for the pompom.
Make sure your circular needles are short enough to work in the round. It will be worth investing in some new needles rather than working the entire hat on double pointed ones. I don’t think I could knit it in one day without them. Pattern calls for 3.25mm. When you need to switch to double pointed ones, as long as they’re close, I wouldn’t run out and buy another set, you don’t need them for many rounds.
The pattern does repeat, so if you want a longer, slouchy hat, you can print a second copy and piece in some extra rows if you wish. Make a matching cowl scarf based on the stitch repeat, or if you want to tackle double knitting, make a double sided scarf.
Happy Knitting. I can’t wait to see other colour variations of this!
