Join in the advent calendar fun with this third Missoni-inspired cowl, named for Rosita Missoni. Co-founder of the fashion house Missoni and wife of Ottavio Missoni, Rosita passed away early in 2025. This cowl is an homage to her creative vision and playful use of colour.

This pattern is also a great way to use up small amounts of leftover yarn.

Pattern is 5 pages.

Shown In:
Solid Colour version (Wide and Short): Handmaiden Fine Yarn ‘Casbah’, (355 yards/325 meters; 80% wool, 10% nylon, 10% cashmere; 115 grams/4.06 ounces per skein). 1.5 skeins in Pewter.

Striped version (Wide and Short): Coates & Co. Fiber ‘Cottage Sock’, (89 yards/82 meters; 75% merino, 25% nylon; 20 grams/0.71 ounces per mini-skein). 7 mini-skeins, 1 each in Seafoam, Strawberry, Gold, Light Peach, Earthy Gray, Sprout, and Burgundy.

Multicoloured version (Narrow and Tall): Koigu Premium Merino (KPM) & Koigu Painters Palette Premium Merino (KPPPM) ‘Minis’, (11 yards/10 meters; 100% wool; 0.11 oz/3 grams per skein). 24 skeinettes, 1-2 of each colour.

NOTE: For the multicoloured sample shown, each colour required approximately 16 yards (4.5 grams) of yarn. Many of the Koigu mini-skeins have more than 11 yards per skeinette. For safety I encourage you to weight your skeinettes before beginning and ensure you have a sufficient amount of each colour you wish to use.
