Round About Basket
Use up some of those yarn scraps in this easy crochet basket pattern. This pattern begins by working a round of sc stitches around a wooden basket bottom with prepunched holes. From there you will work the sides including hdc stitches in the 3rd loop. Have a stitch marker on hand as this pattern will be worked in continuous rounds.
This pattern is easy to adjust. You may change the size, colours or even the fibre of yarn used. The finished basket is wonderful as a decorative piece or for storing treasured items!
Skill Level: Easy
Gauge: 12 sts x 12 rnds of hdc in 3rd = 4 inches
Finished Size: 15 cm/6 inch diameter, 3.5 inches tall
Yarn: 100% Cotton Yarn. You will need approximately 150 yards per basket. Note: This basket is work holding 3 strands of yarn together. They may be all one colour or a mix.
Hook: Size H/8 (5 mm) hook.
Notions: Yarn Needle, 6 inch/15 cm wooden basket base with holes pre punched, stitch marker.
