I was sick of plastic sponges falling apart and always being wet, so I made some dishcloths using simple flat patterns. Over time I decided I wanted more texture and made this bobble dishcloth to supplement my stock of flat cloths.
I recommend cotton yarn as it is sturdy and long lasting. You can clean the cloth in dishwasher or washing machine to your preference, and if it’s too oily then boiling water will do the trick and do no harm (maybe affect the colour over time).
This is a great project to learn or practice bobble stitch, as it’s small and quick.
Stitches used include (US terms):
- magic circle
- single crochet
- single crochet increase
- bobble stitch
- slip stitch
- chain
