For the second pattern in my Dip-Dyed CAL, I am sharing these fun Round Dip-Dyed Earrings! I used the same basic ribbed stitch pattern created by working into the back loops only, and then worked them over some pre-made hoops I found at my local JoAnns.

Imagine these with some fringe hanging from the bottom, or some beads.

Materials:

  • Less than 150 Yards of Embroidery Floss - I used one skein of Iris 222 and one of 398 (one was Blue, and one was Tan but I don’t remember which) from a variety pack
  • C/2.5mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
  • 2 40mm Hoops with Loop - I used #12353827 I found at JoAnns.
  • Pair of Earring Wires - I like to use 20mm French Hooks
  • Jewelry Plier/s - I like to use two, one for each hand

Material Notes:
Yarn: I think a fingering/sport weight yarn could also work.

Time Spent:
Just about 30 minutes for the pair.
