This well loved retro rock n roll from the ’60s is brought to mind with this hand knitted, two color cowl. If you missed the ’60s, either due to chronology or you just don’t remember it for other reasons, you can do a You Tube search on the name;

“Chubby Checkers, ‘Lets twist again.’ “

to experience the music in it’s original form. You’ll soon be singing, “Round ‘n round ‘n up ‘n down again,” right along with Chubby Checkers.

The original version of this cowl is not very big, about 18 inches wide at the welted side and 7 inches deep with welts and ribs, but it could easily be doubled or even tripled to create a shrug size or even an infinity version.

For this picture, I folded the cowl it in half to get it to sit nicely around the neck of the ‘styro’ head. The wind was making the photo taking rather difficult and this was the first sunny day all week, so the finished cowl is longer than what you see here.

Enjoy, happy knitting!
