This simple and easy pattern is suitable for the multicolor yarns. There is still a bit of lace style but the colour of the yarn is seen clearly.

I think the lace pattern of these socks reminds that kind of fence. That’s why the name.

There is one mistake (at least!?) in the pattern.
So there where is said “Knit the first 10 stitches. K
1, M 1 and knit to the end of the round = 22 stitches.”
There should be “Knit the first 10 stitches. K
1, M 1 and knit to the end of the round = 20 stitches.”
