If you do not spin, you can knit North Ronaldsay roving directly. Once knitted, your bag can be felted and/or lined with fabric.

Materials
For the Kindle Bag:
pair 6 mm (US 10) needles
60 g roving
1 large button, about 25 mm (1”) across
1 m (1 yd) chain for strap if required
For the Project Bag:
8mm (US 11) circular needle
120 g roving

Size
Kindle Bag: 6” by 10”
Project Bag: 8” by 12” excluding handles

Tension
12 sts and 20 rows to 10 cm (4”) over stocking stitch
Note that tension is not critical, but having a different tension will affect the size of the bags and the yardage needed.
