Rows Scarf is reversible and uses only with knit and purl stitches and is suitable for all levels of knitter including beginners. It will require a certain level of concentration for the first couple of pattern repeats as you get into the rhythm of it. After a short while you will find you can knit without reference to the pattern making it perfect as a relaxing project.

This makes a lovely gift and is particularly popular with the men in the family. I used Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool. The width of the scarf before blocking will be approximately 21cm/8.5 inches.

Aran yarn 400 - 500m/437 - 547 yds (I used Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool for the scarf pictured)
Tapestry needle (to weave in the ends)
