As many women of my generation, I am fascinated by the amazing women and styles of a bygone era. Though flappers from the 1920’s – 30’s made this style of hat popular, it can still be worn today as this is truly a timeless look.

The scalloped cable band is worked first, and then stitches are picked up for the top of the hat. The bottom brim is shaped using short rows; you can wear it either flipped up or down, your choice.

The simple i-cord knots are added last as a pretty accent.

This is an intermediate pattern, you need to be comfortable working a simple cable, picking up stitches and decreasing.
