Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Spring 2007:
Mari Lynn Patrick used a buoyant bamboo ribbon for this puff-sleeve wrap sweater. The pattern stitch of the body adds texture to the surface and enhances the loft of the soft yarn. Mari Lynn Patrick lives and designs handknits in Baltimore, Maryland.

A springy bamboo yarn highlights the subtle texture of the Ruffled Surplice.

Note: This wrap-tunic is worked in an easy texture pattern, with the reverse side of the pattern used for the trim and ties. The back and two fronts are made separately then sewn together. The fronts begin with only a few stitches; stitches are gradually added inside the border along the center to shape the front edges. Miniature ruffles edge the front edges and puff sleeves.
