Ruffner is a seamless lace poncho with a garter stitch border and minimal finishing. It begins with a provisional cast which is later picked up alongside the live stitches, forming the neck opening and eliminating any visible beginning. The bind off is integrated along the garter stitch border, leaving only a handful of stitches to be joined by grafting, thus eliminating any visible ending as well.

Pattern includes directions for two different yarn weights - fingering (Version 1) or worsted (Version 2).

  • Version 1: 25” x 20” (63.5cm x 51cm) (folded to a rectangle)
  • Version 2: 24” x 22” (61cm x 56cm) (folded to a rectangle)

The worsted weight version uses roughly 500 yards of yarn and US #9 (5.5mm) needles.
