Fingerless mitts with both colour and textural interest. The mitts have a gusseted thumb and are worked in the round from cuff to fingers.

Other 4-ply/fingering weight yarns should also work well, especially those with more than 50% wool content to provide elasticity. To achieve a dense fabric, a smaller size of needle is used than recommended on the ball band.

Note on needles: Choose needles for your preferred method of working in the round.

Other notions: Cable needle, Tapestry needle, 5 stitch markers, Row counter, Smooth waste yarn

The cable pattern is given in a chart and also as written directions.
