A twisting vine of lace twines between columns of cables along the bottom edge of this asymmetrical triangular shawl.

The Rumor Shawl begins with a few stitches and as it increases, it forms a wide cable-and-lace border; later it adds a stockinette body along the top. This pattern will look great in solid or semi-solid colors.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a heavier weight yarn or larger needles will affect the size of the finished shawl. The length of the shawl may be increased or decreased by adding or subtracting repeats of the pattern.

Both charts and written instructions are included in the pattern.
