A feminine scarf knitted on the long side with the magic loop method
You start in the middle with stockinette knitting in the rounds, and shaping the scarf with increases at the short sides, adding lace pattern before ribbing and casting off.

It’s very important you have experience with working the magic loop method.

Rundtenom is worked with double strands of yarn held together:

  • 125g fingering weight yarn (400m/100g)
  • 75 g silk-mohair lace yarn (400m/50g) The yardage can change, if you use another yarn, or working the scarf either shorter or longer than described in the pattern.

Rundtenom is an old Danish word for ‘around’.

  • I wanted to make a scarf, where the pretty details are close to the face, when you wear and wrap it.
  • It should be feminine and soft
  • I also wanted to avoid the big amount of purl stitches that challenge the wrist, while you knit.
  • I wanted the scarf to be simple and ‘less is more’
  • It should also be possible to use your favorite yarn: adjustable in size

I hope, you’ll enjoy it!

Thank you to my testknitters: you worked amazing projects ❤️
