Runlets are water ribbons dancing over the stones and roots at creek edges and waterfalls, a delicate side-show to the main current. Likewise, this sweater, shown here in a beautifully warm possum-merino blend features a lace and cable panel of flows and eddies through reeds and rocks, while still holding a steady, relentless rhythm. It’s worked seamlessly, bottom-up in the round to the sleeve separation, with stockinette on the back and double seed stitch adorning the sleeves. A mock-neck collar and bracelet-length cuffs make for a quiet, dreamy classic.

A detailed Schematic for sizing comes with the pattern.
Suggested: 2 - 5” / 5-13 cm of positive ease for a relaxed fit. For this desired outcome, choose a finished body circumference greater than actual chest size.

A) Finished body circumference: 36 (39, 40.5, 43.25) (46, 48, 50.5) (53.25, 57.75, 63.5)”/ 91 (99, 103, 110) (117, 122, 128) (135, 147, 161) cm.

B) Front body length from collar to hem: 21 (21, 21.5, 21.5) (22, 22.5, 22.5) (23, 23, 23.25)” / 53 (53, 55, 55)(56, 57, 57) (58, 58, 59)cm.

Gauge AFTER WASHING AND BLOCKING: 22 sts x 28 rows in stockinette St using 4mm / US 6 = 4 x 4” 10 x 10 cm.

SUGGESTED YARN: Zealana Rimu Dk, 60% fine New Zealand merino and 40% brushtail possum fibre. 128 meters / 140 yards = 50 grams. Approx: 944 (1023, 1076, 1144) (1242, 1292, 1400) (1497, 1624, 1803) yards / 863 (935, 984, 1046) (1135, 1181, 1280) (1368, 1484, 1648) meters.

Needles : Circular needles, 3.5 mm / US 4 and 4mm / US 6.
Length of circular needle: 32” / 80cm for hem and body. 16” / 40cm for neck, collar, and sleeves. 9” / 23cm for sleeve cuffs. Optionally Magic loop or dpns can be used if needed/preferred.

Notions: Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holders/scrap yarn, tapestry needle, and a spare needle of same or similar to gauge size for the 3-needle bind off on shoulders.
