Rupert has appeal that spans generations. This fun knit, is knit from bottom up, starting with provisional cast on, body is knit up to comb. Wattle and beak are knit and sewn on to create the face. Provisional stitches are released. Rupert is then stuffed and closed with Kitchener stitch leaving stitches for legs on stitch holders. Leg stitch are picked up and legs and feet are knit. No sewing up required.

Materials: Worsted Weight yarn in the following quantities/color– 100 yds White; 20 yds Red; 20 yds Yellow; 2 yds Brown;
Several yards of scrap yarn; approx 1.5oz of Polyfil

Skill Level: Intermediate

Techniques: Provisional cast-on and Kitchener stitch; Loop Stitch, Picot Bind-off, Magic Loop or knitting in the round & french knots
