Rusted was inspired by the Tin Roof Rusted colorway from 29 Bridges Studio. It is knit on the bias in two pieces and grafted in the middle. The shawl alternates between an easy slipped stitch pattern and a simple lace pattern and is easily adjustable to any width and length. If you choose to make a larger size than the sample you will likely need more yarn. The sample used two skeins of 29 Bridges Studio Non-superwash Sock. Choose two yarns with good contrast to make the garter stripes pop. Explore their colorways here:

Materials
Yarn - Non-Superwash Sock from 29 Bridges Studio, fingering weight, 463 yds/423 m, 100g, two skeins - one speckled, one semi-solid with good contrast
The sample shawl used Setter and Tin Roof Rusted
Needles - 2 sets of US size 4 (3.5 mm), 32-40”, or size needed to obtain gauge below.
Misc. - darning needle for kitchener and weaving in ends
Gauge - 16 sts by 26 rows over 4”/10cm blocked in lace pattern
Finished size - 98”/249 cm long , 12”/30 cm wide

This pattern works well with solids, semi-solids, tonals, speckles and gradients. The lace pattern can be lost in heavily variegated yarns so if you wish to use them for this pattern I recommend you swatch first to see if you like the results.
