This oversized Rustic Honeycomb Cardigan is easy to knit- there is no scary shaping at all. It is knitted bottom up in a simple Honeycomb Mosaic/Slip stitch pattern, using basic stitches. Mosaic knitting involves two simple techniques- slipping stitches and changing colours between rows/ rounds. You work with a single colour per row or round. The best thing- there are no floats as in stranded knitting.
Choose any texture and colour of yarn and you will make knock-out cardigan!

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Stitches used: k, p, sl, sl1wyib, sl1wyif.

ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS:
SIZES: S/M, (M/L, L/XL).
Cardigan is photographed in the M / L size option. Pattern is written for smallest size with changes to bigger in parentheses. Different colour font use represents different size.
ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING:
Cardigan flat width (just below armhole) - 54, (62, 70) cm / 21 1⁄4, (24 1⁄2, 27 1⁄2) ins.
Length (from top of the shoulder) - 62, (67, 76) cm / 24 1⁄2, (26 1⁄2, 30) ins.
Sleeve length (from top of the shoulder) - 63, (67, 67) cm / 25, (26 1⁄2, 26 1⁄2) ins.
Sleeve width (just below armhole) - 20, (20, 24) cm, (8, 8, 9 1⁄2) ins.

GAUGE (Tension): 20 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm (4 ins), measured over honeycomb pattern, (garment being blocked), using 5.50 mm (US 9) needle. NB Needle size is only a guide - if you get too many stitches for 10 cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches for 10 cm, take a smaller needle size. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
