I’m so happy to present you the Rustic Ridges Cardigan (sister of the Rustic Ridges Sweater)!

It’s a #sizeinclusive and beginner friendly crochet pattern.

It comes in 9 sizes, from XS to 5XL, with instructions on how to make a longer or shorter cardigan if needed.

This cozy, modern, adaptable to any outfit cardigan is made using very simple stitches, that create interesting lines in relief. The yarn used is 50% cotton and 50% merino wool and makes the cardigan perfect to wear year round, but every other DK weight yarn would work fine!

Here are some characteristics of the design and what you will find inside the PDF pattern:

  • Beginner friendly crochet pattern, written in US Terms.

  • Color-coded sizes and step-by-step photos.

  • The cardigan is worked from bottom up in two main panels and has a ribbed edge, collar and sleeve cuffs. Sleeves and collar are crocheted onto the body once it’s sewn. OPTIONAL: there are also directions on how to make detached sleeves and how to sew them to the body, if you want to avoid “work flipping”.

  • It has a classic fit, with a slightly positive ease. If you love to have a comfier, oversized cardigan, you can work two, three or four sizes up to your bust size (depends on how much positive ease you want to add).

  • It’s designed to fit the following bust measurements: XS (28”-30”), S (32”-34”), M (36”-38”), L (40”-42”), XL (44”-46”), 2XL (48”-50”), 3XL (52”-54”), 4XL (56”-58”), 5XL (60”-62”). If you are between sizes, size up.

  • Final bust measurements are: XS (30.3”), S (34.6”), M (38.6”), L (42.9”), XL (47.2”), 2XL (51.2”), 3XL (54.3”), 4XL (58.6”), 5XL (63”).

  • You will need approx. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20 balls of Drops Design’s “Cotton Merino” yarn, or approx. 1106, 1229, 1352, 1487, 1636, 1799, 1979, 2177, 2395 yards of any weight 3 / DK / light worsted weight yarn.

  • There are directions on how to make a longer/shorter cardigan and longer/shorter sleeves.

  • The sample in the picture is a size S.

I hope you will enjoy it! :)
