This fox is ready to enjoy an autumn walk, with binoculars for bird-watching and a satchel to carry them in. The coat and trousers can be removed for dress up play.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the fox and outfits are knit in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). A crochet hook is used only to make a single chain for the binocular strap and bag loop closure.

NEEDLES:
A pair of 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
Yarnsmiths Create DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than a 100g/290m skein in each shade.

NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, stitch holders, stitch markers, buttons and embroidery thread to decorate.

SIZES:
One size only - Fox stands at 27cm tall from toes to tips of ears.

TECHNIQUES:
For intermediate knitters and above, techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish. This pattern also incorporates intarsia colour-work, and picking up and knitting stitches on an edge.
