Ruut means “square” in Estonian and that’s what these gloves consist of - small squares.

Size: small / medium

Material: 3 colors of fingering weight yarn, about 180 m / 106 yards of main color, 120 m / 131 yards of contrasting color and 10 m / 11 yards of yarn for the stripes.
Also 4 stitch holders and a stitch marker are required.

Gauge: 26 sts = 10 cm / 4’’ and 26 rows = 10 cm / 4’’. Make sure to check the gauge on blocked fabric.
Note that stranded colorwork doesn’t stretch as much as “normal” knitted fabric.

Needle size: 2.25 mm (US 1) double pointed needles (or other size for getting the right gauge)
