Rhythmic shawl structurally has the shape of a classic triangle shawl knitted top down. It has been designed with shadow knitting technique. The technique is very simple in principle. It uses garter stitch and stockinette stitch together. The side garter ridges of stockinette stitches create a shadow pattern that is only visible when the person wearing it moves. In the model, the slipped stitches are used at the beginning and end of the garter ridges to emphasize the rhythmic repetition of zigzag patterns.

Basically the shawl can be designed using at least two colors with sharp contrast to accentuate the shadow effect, but will create a completely different impact when knitted with self-color transition threads used for the base as shown in the pictures.
