Jeogori is a Korean traditional garment. Saekdong means many colors patched one by one and it represents the harmony of the five traditional Korean colors, which is called “obangsaek”.
Saekdong jeogori symbolizes wishes for longevity and happiness.
“Saekdong Aran Jeogori” is a modern interpretation of traditional saekdong jeogori, redesigning
colorful stripes of saekdong with aran patterns. The knot resembling a clover is used as a button, adding an eye-catching point.
This project is worked from the top down, with double knitting technique and with both Intarsia and stranded colorwork. Saekdong Aran Jeogori has set-in sleeves and fitted silhouette. It is recommended to be worn with slight positive ease. With the front open, it transforms into a lovely cardigan.
