’Sage’ is probably the most popular design from ‘Windswept’ and I’ve seen many knitters version of it. I wear my original garment a lot and like any garment knitted in Felted Tweed, improves with age. This design was the original inspiration for the much complimented ‘Sage Throw’, which subsequently inspired the Fairisle Club.

The yardage quoted is based on size SMALL.

The colours in Rowan Felted Tweed needed to knit ‘SAGE’ are as follows, the actual weight used is in brackets (5% has been added to my usage):

SIZE SMALL

Clay 177 - 2 x 50gm balls (wt - 98g)
Phantom 153 - 2 x 50gm balls (wt - 63g)
Pine 158 - 2 x 50gm balls (wt - 56g)
Gilt 160 - 2 x 50gm balls (wt - 77g)
Maritime 167 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 29g)
Ginger 154 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 25g)
Cinnamon 175 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 29g)
Bilberry 151 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 28g)
Peony 183 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 37g)
Avocado 161 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 20g)
Watery 152 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 34g)
Tawny 186 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 33g)
Camel 157 - 1 x 50gm ball (wt - 35g)

The pattern states Hedgerow 187, this colour is not longer available hence I’ve listed Pine 158 as an alternative.
