The Sage Tee is a refined and timeless design with a soft, modern look. Worked top-down, it begins with an elegant

thoughtful shaping built in. Incredibly lightweight — only 200 grams were used for size M in yarn option 1.

After completing the yoke, instead of immediately dividing for sleeves and body, you will first work a few rows back
and forth over the back stitches only (Asian yoke/back).
These rows are worked flat in simple stockinette stitch—no short rows or special techniques, just knit on the right side
and purl on the wrong side.

This means the Sage tee is designed to have a positive ease approximately of 20 cm / 8 inches.

GAUGE
24 stitches and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles, worked in rows or rounds in
stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Fingering (14 wpi) yarn.
Option 1: The sample shown is made from 100% linen by Cariaggi, 50 g = 1950 m, using 3 strands held together
with 1 strand of Mix Cashmere Sol (30% cashmere, 10% silk, 60% merino superfine) by Cariaggi, 100 g = 1400 m.
For sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL), you will need approx. 80 (90) 100 (110) 130 (150) 190 (250)
grams of lino, and 70 (80) 90 (100) 120 (140) 170 (200) grams of Cashmere Mix.
Option 2: 100% linen by Cariaggi, 50 g = 1950 m, using 5 strands held together. For sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL)
3XL (4XL), you will need approx. 150 (170) 190 (210) 250 (290) 360 (450) grams.
Option 3: BC Garn Lino 100% linen, 50 g = 150 m. For sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL), you will need approx.
250 (270) 300 (320) 350 (400) 420 (470) grams.
You can also knit this design in a yarn combination that meets the gauge listed below — and with added long sleeves.

Needles and Notions
3.0 mm / US 2.5 circular needles for the ribbing neck, hem and ribbinh sleeves.
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles for the yoke, sleeves and body.
Also required: stitch markers, stitch holders, and any other tools you normally use when knitting.
