The Sage Vest is the perfect timeless, fitted piece with unique details that will have your friends asking where you got your top from. It is knit from the top down with a cable detail along the shoulders (à la the Clara sweater) and includes lots of modifications for a tapered or straight front, bust darts, armhole depth and more.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Sizing Chart (finished garment measurements): 1-18
Bust: 75 (80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110) 115, 120, 125, 130, 135 (140, 145, 150, 155, 160) cm/30 (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44) 46, 48, 50, 52, 54 (56, 58, 60, 62, 64) inches

This vest is designed to be worn with 0 cm/inches of ease, so choose a size base off your actual full chest measurement. The sample knit in this pattern is size 2 and worn with 0 cm/inches of ease. If you are between sizes, I would pick the size below to emulate a similar look. If you have a difference of more than 2 cm/0.8 inches you can consider knitting the pattern with bust darts or choosing a size with more ease (5-10 cm/2-4 inches) to ensure the front of the vest closes smoothly.

Note: While all sizes have been tech edited, only sizes 1-7 have been test knitted. If you are interested in knitting sizes 9+ please message me. I would be happy to provide you the pattern for free in exchange for feedback on those sizes! Please email me at charsknits@gmail.com.
